Rapé and Sananga

Rapé

Rapé (pronounced ha-PAY) is an ancient traditional Amazonian medicine, that consists of a combination of leaves, seeds, spices, bark, oils, herbs, and flowers from medicinal plants, roots and trees. Most Rapé contains ground Mapacho tobacco leaf, however there is a tobacco free option. Rapé is administered by using a Tepi, which when breathing is suspended momentarily, the Rapé is blown into both nostrils one at a time.

Rape can be used in a Kambo ceremony to help release blockages. It can also be used for headaches, relax the mind, sinus problems, intensify concentration, ground and centre, and lower blood pressure.

Sananga

This Traditional amazonian eye medicine is made from the shredded root of a shrub, Tabernaemontana Sanana, that grows in the rain forest. Sananga has been used by the Matsis tribe and many indigenous peoples of Peru and Brazil for thousands of years. It operates on the physical, energetic, and spiritual level.

Sananga works by cleansing and refreshening the eyes, and can result in immediate visual enhancements, with ones environment increasing in texture, depth, colour perception, and image definition. It has also shown success in glaucoma, cataracts, dry and red eyes, eye infection, and chronic head aches. Sananga has also been used to clean and expand the aura, balance the chakras, and help one keep an emotional, mental, and spiritual balance.
In ceremony, Sananga can be used before the application of Kambo to ground and open one up in preparation to receive Kambo, or after to clean and refresh the eyes.
